Silver Wolf - Chapter Seven
I woke up in an unfamiliar room, a thick, soft blanket hugging me, reassuring me that I was safe. My head was pounding against my skull, and I winced as I eased myself upright. Something warm and heavy lay beside my feet, softly breathing through their nose, a strong arm protectively holding on to one of my legs.
The events of last night flashed before my eyes and I choked as I remembered Cain carrying Jess's limp body up some stairs.
Cain stirred and I pulled my legs away from him, hugging them tightly as I tried to get away from him.
"Faye?" His voice was raspy as he squinted at me. "Are you okay?"
I shook my head. Of course I wasn't!

Abi's phone vibrated for at least the hundreth time in the past 10 minutes. I grabbed it and looked at all the notifications she was receiving from some social network site. She'd been on her phone a lot lately, always wearing the same expression that I kept telling her would give her permanent wrinkles if she furrowed her brow any more.
I sighed, hating to pry into her privacy, but I blamed it on curiosity and unlocked her phone. My eyes widened as i read the messages that just went on and on from random girls from school. They ranged from just calling her names to more extreme ones telling her to kill herself. Anger boiled inside me and I

Silver Wolf - Chapter Five
I stood in my dark room touching my cheek, staring out into the sky which had become darker, a rumble of thunder in the distance. I wanted to pinch my cheek and wake myself up incase this was all just a bizarre dream, but I didn't want to change the feeling I still felt on my skin from where Cain had kissed me. I smiled and could feel my cheeks heat up. A guy that could shame a Greek God had just called me beautiful, and announced that I was forever his. Oh yeah, he was also apparently a werewolf.
I sighed and went back to bed, the cool sheets feeling good on my hot skin. There was no way that I was going to sleep though. I lay in the dark,

Silver Wolf - Chapter Four
It's been four days since I last saw Faye. Well, four days since I was in her house trying to avoid looking at her. I kept running away from the pull I had towards her, only to find myself going back and watching her from afar. The night I left her house, I didn't even go back to my own, but high up the mountain to an old cabin I'd found with my brother when we'd been young and used as a hide out. I sat in there now, the few things we'd brought up to it falling apart from the leaky roof keeping them moist over the years.
I thought back to the moment I'd seen her in the forest, remembering how terrified she had been when she saw me in my beast

I cursed my dad for making me open the door as I stood there smiling awkwardly at the perfect family before me. The lady smiled at me and extended her hand.
"Hello, you must be Faye." She said, her voice angelic. "My name is Teresa, and these are my children, Abigail and Cain. We've been friends of your fathers for a long time now so it's a pleasure to finally meet you."
"Oh uh, hi." I stuttered as I took each of them in. Teresa and Abigail smiled warmly at me, but I noticed Cain avoiding my gaze. He was standing more awkwardly than I was, closely examining a leaf. "Oh sorry, come in!" I said, realising I'd been staring at him, and I stepped

The bell rang and I jumped out of my seat, rushing to my locker before the rush of school kids began. As I made my way towards the parking lot, I heard a shrill voice calling out my name. I ignored it and kept walking, but the voice was only getting louder as the owner of it got closer to me.
"Cain!" Jessica called out into my ear. She turned me around and made me face the bleached white hair on top of a makeup caked face that was smiling up at me. "I was calling out your name, didn't you hear me?"
"No, I must not have." I replied bluntly. She pouted and crossed her arms.
"Well I was wondering if you wanted to come over and work on the bio

I drove my Volvo up the steep, winding road that lay ahead of me. The roads of SilverAsh Mountain were tight with dense forest surrounding them on both sides, the trees only breaking apart slightly to give way to the occasional driveway. I glanced at my Sat Nav as it informed me of my destination being only 500 meters away and I slowed down to ensure I didn't miss it. As my Sat Nav counted down the meters, I squinted through the annoying and constant drizzle of rain, turning sharply into a driveway that appeared only when my Sat Nav told me to "Turn left." I drove up what was more of another winding road than a driveway and was greeted by a f
